Watching online videos is fun, but what if you wanted to save those videos and enjoy them offline as well?
The answer is MyTube BigPack Internet Recorder, a complete video download and conversion tool with which you can browse the main video sites on the Web, search for your favorite videos, download them to your computer and convert them to the format that best suits your needs.
Using MyTube BigPack Internet Recorder is piece of cake. The program features a clear toolbar on top of its interface, with huge colorful buttons that take you to the program's main features. It works with popular sites like YouTube, MyVideo, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, MySpace and others. Oddly enough, there's no support for Vimeo, one of my favorite video websites.
All you have to do is search for videos using the appropriate keywords, play them if you want in the program's embedded video player, download them – in their original FLV format - and then convert them to the format you prefer. There are dozens to choose from!
The only drawback is that you'll have to select the target format in the Settings tab, instead of doing it in the Convert videos tab which would have been more intuitive. This means that you can't convert several videos to different formats – they must be all converted to the same thing.
